Joining Kent Woodturners
Kent Woodturners is affiliated to the national woodturning body, the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain (AWGB). All members of Kent Woodturners also join and are members of the AWGB.
How do I join?
Print out and complete the application forms for Kent Woodturners (Adult&Family or Junior) and AWGB. (Note: Both forms are required.)
Bring the forms together with your subscription to one of our meetings or send them to:
Kent Woodturners Treasurer, Little Marlingate, Bedgebury Road, Goudhurst, TN17 2QY
Please DO NOT send the completed AWGB form or any payment directly to the AWGB but do ensure that the form is signed and dated in both places. i.e. against “Data Protection” and at the end.
How much is the subscription?
Annual subscription includes membership of both Kent Woodturners and the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain (AWGB).
Total subscriptions for a full year are:
- £79.00 for Full Adult membership;
- £119.00 for Family membership (at least one adult and one junior);
- £40.00 for Junior membership (between 12 and 21);
- £49.00 for Associate Membership (non-attending, AWGB affiliation, club communications).
These include your subscription to the AWGB.
Are there any reductions if I join later in the year?
If Membership commences between 1st July and 30th September, initial subscriptions are:
- £39.50 for Full Adult membership;
- £59.50 for Family membership (at least one adult and one junior);
- £20.00 Junior membership (between 12 and 21);
- £24.50 for Associate membership (non-attending, AWGB affiliation, club communications).
These include your subscription to the AWGB.
If membership commences after 1st October in any year, you pay the annual subscription due for the following year but get membership operative from the date of joining until 31st December the following year.
Can I attend before my application is processed?
Yes. Just fill out the application forms and bring them along with your subscription to any of our meetings.

Attendance Fees
For professional demonstrations, the Full Adult and Associate Member fee is £15, Junior Members £2 and Visitors £15.
For all other meetings, there is no charge for Full Adult, Family and Junior Membership; Associate Membership £6, visitors £4.
